Tonight Bill Perbetsky will lead a group of All-Stars from the HJC - this is not a big band. Featured players are Jim McFalls (trb) Tom Strohman (woodwinds) Connor Rohrer (piano) Steve Meashey (bass) Jeff Stabley (dr) and Bill on trumpet.

For the months of July & August, 2021, there will not be big band performances at Englewood - they will resume on the 3rd Wednesdays in September when their new reservation system will be in place. The Upstairs Music Room at Engelwood is undergoing some changes - there will be no reservations for Wednesday Night Jazz, the weekly series of fine jazz ensembles performing weekly from 6-8:30), but when the HJC returns in September you will be able to reserve the table of your choice for the HJC evenings.

The menu will be altered as well to a more streamlined bill of fare that will allow faster service and consistency. I hope you will come support the HJC All-Stars and keep your 3rd Wednesdays filled with the great sounds of jazz. If you had reservations for July or August, they will not be honored, but there is plenty of seating available at Englewood, so please come and enjoy the music on Wednesdays (6-8:30pm).

The HJC - Harrisburg Jazz Collective is committed to our new home at Englewood and we are sure that the venue will present the band for many years to come. Please be patient as we go through some growing pains...THANKS!

The Englewood is a totally renovated barn with huge stage, sound system, great food, even better beer, & lots of free parking.

Many of the same faces will be in this new ensemble and much of the music you heard at River City will be performed as well as new material written by the players and friends or classic charts from the historic big bands of the past. As things with the pandemic clear up, we will be able to host guest artists and special seasonal concerts, so stay in touch about upcoming events.
