Founded in October of 2015, Steve co-leads this 17 piece ensemble with trumpeter Bill Perbetsky and the musical arrangements are from the swing era (Basie/Ellington/Dorsey/James) to modern jazz arrangements and originals from members and friends.

Steve Rudolph, Jonathan Ragonese, Diane Wilson, Perky Scott, a gospel choir and more with the HSO.  Join us on April 4, 2020 in the 7,000-seat New Holland Arena at the Farm Show Arena, as we step outside the typical orchestral venue and into a more relaxed and casual atmosphere.

The first half of the program is arranged and performed by Jonathan Ragonese, Steve Rudolph & friends - the second half is the HSO with and 800 voice choir doing the Beethoven 9th (Ode to Joy).

Back by popular demand, internationally renowned jazz flutist, Ali Ryerson, is excited to return to Piedmont Piano Company with her longtime colleagues, Steve Rudolph on piano, John Wiitala on bass, and Akira Tana on drums. The quartet comes to Oakland directly following their week long residency at Hidden Valley Music Seminars on the Monterey Peninsula, where Ryerson conducts her annual jazz flute masterclass.
